Privacy Policy

DevelopDent is an informational website for a single-dentist clinic in Makati. This page explains the limited data the site collects, how it is used, and your rights under the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173).

Who is responsible

DevelopDent Dental Clinic is the personal information controller. Dr. Monique Bacalla, the treating dentist and clinic owner, oversees all data handling at the practice. Questions or requests about your data should be sent to smile@developdent.com.

What this site collects

• Inquiry form submissions — when you send a message through the booking page, your name, contact details, and message pass through the website only long enough to be formatted into an email and delivered to the clinic's inbox at smile@developdent.com. The website itself stores no submission record; the data thereafter lives only in the clinic's email, where the clinic is responsible for it as the personal information controller. See "How the inquiry form is handled" below for the full flow.
• Anonymous analytics — pages visited, approximate city-level location, device type, and time on site, collected by Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. Microsoft Clarity also records anonymous session replays of how visitors move through pages (clicks, scrolls, hover paths) so the clinic can understand which sections of the site are useful. Form input fields and other sensitive text are automatically masked in Clarity recordings — your typed name, email, and message are never visible in the replay.

What this site does not collect

• Payment information — the site does not process payments.
• Health records — the site does not collect, store, or display patient clinical data.
• Advertising profiles — no Facebook Pixel, no remarketing tags, no third-party advertising cookies.

How the inquiry form is handled

When you submit the form on the booking page, its contents are formatted into an email and sent to smile@developdent.com. The clinic reads and replies from that inbox. The submission is not saved to a website database — there is no website-side record of your message beyond the email itself. If you want a previous submission deleted from the clinic's inbox, write to the same address and ask.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (with anonymized IP collection) and Microsoft Clarity (with sensitive-field auto-masking). Analytics cookies allow the clinic to count visitors and measure how the site is used in aggregate; individual visitors cannot be identified from this data. You may block analytics cookies in your browser settings, use a private/incognito window, or install a tracking-blocker extension — the site will continue to function normally.

Third parties

The site relies on a small number of third-party services:

• Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — anonymous site analytics.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) — anonymous heatmaps and session replay; sensitive fields auto-masked.
• Hostinger — web hosting provider.
• Google Fonts — typography (Poppins font family).
• Google Maps — embedded clinic map on the location page.

External links to professional bodies and partners (Philippine Dental Association, Orthero, Osstem, Cebu Doctors' University, PAED, and similar) are clearly marked and open in new tabs. The clinic does not control content on those sites.

Your rights under RA 10173

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information the clinic holds about you
• Access a copy of that information
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph)

To exercise any of these rights, contact smile@developdent.com. The clinic will respond within a reasonable period, typically within one to two weeks.

How long data is kept

Inquiry-form emails remain in the clinic's email account for as long as needed to respond to your message and maintain continuity of care should you become a patient. Analytics data is retained for the Google Analytics 4 default period (14 months) and then automatically expires. If you want your inquiry email deleted from the clinic's records, write to smile@developdent.com.

Children

The site is informational and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents and guardians may submit inquiries on behalf of children using the booking form.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date below changes too. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page for at least thirty days.
